Mission:The Buchanan County Victim/Witness Unit is dedicated to the fair treatment of crime victims and witnesses within the criminal justice system. It is the duty of this office to act as representatives for all citizens to ensure the free exercise of their constitutionally guaranteed victim's rights.

Assistance with alternative victim impact presentations.

Answers to questions victims or witnesses may have, regarding their cases.

• Immediate contact with victim upon case submission from law enforcement.

• Domestic violence advocate at all court proceedings when the victim is present.
  
• Contact with the victim concerning the case outcome in their absence.
